You have a number of options when setting up printers.
- Install printers on FS01 and point them directly to the IP of the physical printers leveraging the site-to-site VPN. Then share those printer objects to the users and map them for each user. This will be a per-user printer connection.
- Install printers on RDSHxx servers and point them directly to the IP of the physical printers leveraging the site-to-site VPN. Control visibility to the printers by various users using security on the printer object. This way users won’t see printers in their list that aren’t relevant to them. This is a per-machine setting and will need to be configured on each RDSH VM depending on the users who are using each VM.
- Install printers on local desktops and use RDP printer redirection to print locally. We don’t usually recommend this method as it’s not always reliable and depends on printer model. You may need to install individual printer drivers on each RDSH VM if the default RDP selected drivers aren’t working.
