How Do I Access an NFA Core Server Remotely?

As an NFA user, you can connect to your virtual Windows server via an RDP file. RDP stands for Remote Desktop Protocol and is a common way to connect to virtual Windows desktops or servers. Simply double-click the RDP file, enter your password and click "OK" to connect to your NFA server. The process of generating the RDP file is slightly different for NFA Core accounts as compared to that of an NFA Professional or Enterprise account. Let us understand how it works.

Here are the steps to remotely connect to an NFA Core server:

1. Sign into Nerdio Admin Portal (NAP) as an IT admin and login to your NFA Core account:
2. From the main menu, click the "Servers" tab. Then select a server (say DC01) and click "Generate RDP file" option:
3. Select the RDP file settings and click "Download" button:
   
   Note: a)The "RDP from" field is your computer's IP address. So, it is important that you generate the RDP file from the IP address you plan to connect to the Nerdio server. b)The "Duration" is the time for which the RDP file will be valid to connect to the server. You can change the duration from the drop down.
4. Select "Save File" option and click "OK" to save the RDP file:
5. Enter your login credentials on the following screen and click "OK" button:
6. You will be able to connect to the NFA Core server (say DC01):
