If you are seeing the following error when attempting to login through RDP shortcuts to your RDS server:

"The remote session was disconnected because there are no Remote Desktop License Servers available to provide a license. Please contact the server administrator."
Please perform the following to resolve:
  • RDP to DC01, and from there connect to a RDS Session Host (using /admin switch to get onto the console)
    • You can find the address here:mceclip0.png

  • Open Regedit and Delete the following registry key, located in
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM\GracePeriod

  • Reboot the server and try logging in again

  • If the above steps resolve the issue, perform the same steps on RDSCL-A and update the host.
