How Do I Get a Report of Servers in My Nerdio Account?

Applies to: Nerdio Private Cloud (NPC) and Nerdio For Azure (NFA) customers

Nerdio's Servers report is a snapshot of your account's server usage. It gives you important insights into critical parameters such as configuration, data storage, server uptime, and so on. These parameters help you better manage your Nerdio account, support various operations and attain compliance. You can view and manage Servers via the Servers module.

To navigate to the Server's module:

Login to Nerdio Admin Portal (NAP) as an IT admin. On the Accounts page, locate the account for which you want to view the reports for and click Login as shown below:

You will be directed to the accounts' home page. Select Servers tab from the main menu as shown below:

You will be able to view the details of various servers in your account on the Servers page as shown below:

Every account has the following servers:

• DC01 - AD domain controller
• FS01 - file server
• PRX01 - ADFS proxy server
• RDGW01- RDS gateway
• RDSH01- remote desktop server. You can track various parameters of each of these servers through the "Servers" report.

Note: By default, NFA Core account has only one server - AD domain controller (DC01). You can optionally add a file server (FS01). However, NFA Core accounts do not support RD session hosts, and RDSH01 server is not included.

To navigate to the report's module:

To view report, from the main menu select the Reports tab to go to the Reports page. If you are an NFA Enterprise customer, your Reports page will have the following reports: 

• User reports
• Email forward rules
• Inbox rules and
• Servers report for your account

If you are an NFA Core customer, your Reports page will show only two types of reports:

• Servers report
• Users report for your account

Note: If you are an NFA Professional customer, you will not see a Reports section for your account:

We will be discussing only the "Servers report" in this article.

Expand the "Run" action menu corresponding to the Servers report as shown below:

Note: If the status of the report says "NOT STARTED", you need to expand the corresponding "View/Run" actions menu and either "Schedule to run the report at a later date" or "Run" the report right away. Once you do that, NAP will run a job in the background and the status will change to "COMPLETED". You can then either "View", "Schedule", "Export to CSV" or "Email" the report to your email address.

Click View option to view the report as shown below:

The overview section gives you the details about the type of the account- Professional/Enterprise, the number of active/archived/disabled users, groups, domains, servers, mailboxes, and other resources consumed.

The tabular section gives usage statistics about each server in your account. For example, let us consider server DC01 :

• DC01 is the AD domain controller
• It runs on Windows Server 2016 OS
• It is deployed on a Virtual Machine with a configuration of D1v2(1C/3GB/SSD)
  
• It has a data storage in the form of disk1, disk2 or more (listed under other disks column)
• It has 128 GB RAM with only 25.75 MB consumed
  
• There are no more disks (disk2 or others) on the server DC01
• The uptime of the server is 23 hours

Note: This data is as per the report generated on Dec 20, 2018. In case you wish to view the latest report, you need to run/schedule the report generation job again.
